SWACHHA BAHRAT MISSION” being sponsored and encouraged by the Govt. of Odisha is sincerely implemented by this organization giving emphasis to the Government program . The Campaign was based on Sanitation arrangements and ensuring cleanliness in the villages, cities, Lanes, Govt. institutions, hospitals, including other Public places involving the common people. In this context, the Society has been organizing the people and conducted awareness Campaigns for cleaning of streets, School campus, and disposal of solid Waste and Waste waters both at Individual and community level. The Programs are implemented at Nimapada, Gop , Kakatpur, Astaranga and Puri Sadar Blocks in Puri district. During the reporting year of 2015-16 , the Society has organized the Awareness Campaigns with the involvement and participation of School children , Teachers and volunteers of the concerned Gram Panchayats and villages involving women Groups, Mahila Mandals and held rallies in the respective areas of different Blocks. The campaigns main objective is to educate the people about process and techniques of Waste disposal and Plastic waste recycling along with waste water disposal and use Poly bags instead of Plastic containers to prevent environment adverse effects. The Society has already formed Village Development Committees in the respective Gram Panchayats and established a system for giving special attention towards environment protection and ensuring regular campaigns thereof. During this year of report there were 8 nos Rallies and 5 nos of Awareness Campaign were held in Puri district to encourage the people for environment protection and Swachha Bharat Mission and clean India as a whole.
