The people in general are in a habit of exploiting different resources for the purpose of their survival. This includes Electricity, gas, woods, K. Oils etc. in common. But almost the people are ignorant about use and application of Renewable Energy sources instead of traditional energy source. In this connection, the Society is mostly concerned about . Though, there is adequate scope and opportunity for utilizing and applying the Renewable Energy sources in various Livelihood Programs Like: Pottery, Dairy farm, Horticulture, cottage Industries which include : Pottery, Smithy, Carpentry , Textile, Handicrafts ( Bamboo, Metal, ) Embroidery, Leather, handmade paper, production of Building materials, Micro-Enterprise Zone (MEZ) ,Vegetables, Grains, Fruits, refrigeration, Stitching, mechanical etc. In this context, the society conducted 5 nos of Workshops at Nimapara, Gop ,Kakatpur,Astaranga and Puri Sadar Block of Puri district i.e one in each Block for sensitizing the people about scope, Technology and application of Renewable Energy to enhance their skill and knowledge for practicing and application of such Renewable energy particularly for Livelihood programs making them sustainable in the process of application and utilization of such resources . There are 170 nos of beneficiaries being 110 from male and 60 from female category participated in the workshops during the year 2015-16.
