The people in general are very often being harassed in terms of quality, quantity, and durability of the goods or commodities purchased from different sources of markets /Hats/ Bazars etc. in this connection, the legal forums constituted by the Government is called as CONSUMER REDRESSAL FORUMS both at district , State & National level. The aggrieved consumers of the respective district can redress their grievances in district consumer forums following simple method of applications with little expenses to obtain justice accordingly. In this regard , the organization has been organizing awareness camps in its project areas to sensitize the people for the same. The State Commission of Consumer forum is the appellate court against the decision of the district consumer forums and National Consumer Forum is at Delhi for deciding the appeals from the respective state Forms . Thus, with the objective of sensitizing the people in general , the organization has been conducting regular Awareness Campaigns in the district of Puri . During this year there were 7 nos of Awareness campaigns organized at Nimapada, GOP, Kakatpur, Astaranga and Puri Sadar Blocks in Puri district. Wherein, 320 consumers i.e. 230 male and female 90 nos attended the workshops.
